Voice of God From the Machine A holy man named Lazarus Leaned out of the dark Told me he could see The walls around my heart I said oh Mr. Holy Man I’m just playing the part I don’t know where my flesh ends And the bricks and mortar start A psychic named mystic Francis Came across my path Told me that my aura was A nasty shade of black I said you’re too late Fran I’ve already done the math Long I’ve borne the brunt Of the universe's wrath A healer read my tarot cards Bad omens they were rife She told me that I’ve suffered And I will for all my life I Said oh prophetic sister I knew that there’d be strife As a child I was always drawn To the sharp edge of the knife The angel of my mother Came down from up above Told me that the veil between us Was something I've made up She said oh sweet child it’s madness You’re verging on the edge of But if you learn to love your suffering All that’s left is love The earth continually turns Yet still the wall stands It does not diminish The wind the waves the stars the sand

Just Another Monday It's just another Monday Every corner of this town is the same Every little thought in your head is wrong The phone won't ring in time To keep the grass green It's just another Monday Ones and ohs All waving goodbye It's just another way to say This wave of pain won't break It's just another Monday and the heart won't wait It's just a shuffle and a waltz Sirens all get lost in their own song As slapstick clowns anticipate This town is going down Don't put flowers on the grave they say Of those who get lost in these waves It's just another Monday

For The Fam 04:14
Went by my Fam today Knelt down and I prayed to keep them safe From the Night And we'll always get back to the light Went by my friends today Knelt down and I prayed to keep them safe From the Night And we'll always make up after a fight Cause the day has come When we gotta make love stay Tell me how to get back home Been out here all on my own for so long But lucky I got this song Tell me which way to go Been aching for someone to show me the way But I guess I know anyway Cause when I'm quiet I feel my heart tell me the way

Soliloquy 02:56
Soliloquy We met when I was just 16 and you were 24 Surrounded by the old worlds charms yet always wanted more We walked the late-night streets with whiskey on our breath And kicked it to the few of those who dared to face our test. We broke our minds on poetry and whispers in the dark And held each other's hearts in hand and raised up to embark Upon the seas that few will go for coming back there’s nil A chance to right the wrongs of time and to history distil One night when all was quiet in town you dressed me in your clothes And painted on my face and hands the matrons gawdy pose Into the dark we two pursued the wild and weirder shows Of all those that are lost among the poet's woeful throws. And time again we ventured out into the darkened streets Looking for the hope of life to give our souls relief. Our hearts were pure but minds confused so trouble did reveal To us the bleeding hearts of lovers lost lying on deaths sill And through that open window we did carry on our way Never taking poise to measure the depth of troubles day I sang to you so sweetly the songs of broken hearts. As wine we drank and howled up to the moons waning path. The cold morning light of day now filters through the gaps We tramp upon the broken ground and tripping on the cracks. And songs we’ve sung a thousand times grow silent and grow stale Perhaps the life we once did live now wants our love to fail. You’ve found new friends I see with silver on their eyes. Who walk the river banks in search of fames shallow disguise. When once we were so wild and free with nothing in our purse. The current of the green-eye'd clams have washed away loves worth. Now strangers in the streets we pass with nothing to be said. I wonder how you sleep at night alone in your bed When all is said and done it seems a teacher you are to me. So, I’ll thank you for these lessons learnt, for that at least was free.

The Bridge 08:18
The Bridge Oh I found my peace Oh I found my joy This is unity Between the body and soul If no one can light a smile on my face I will light my own If no one can bring me happiness I’ll find it here in my soul And even with no wings I will fly and soar. I will round the sky Here in my flesh and bones
